Please do not throw candy, it is dangerous to have children running in the street. Candy may be handed to spectators, without slowing parade progress.
All entries will be assigned a line-up number and receive disband instructions, including a color coded windshield card designating disband lane, when they arrive.
All vehicles and entries must have a minimum of 1000 lights and follow the designated theme.
Snow making machines are not permitted.
Walkers/marchers are not allowed to hand out any type of information, brochures or flyers to spectators.
All parade units must maintain a distance of 30 feet. All units are required to close the gap when asked.
No particiapants may be dressed as Santa or Mrs. Claus, but Santa hats are allowed.
Your registration entry is for one business only.
Event Day Greeter/Drop Off chaperones MUST be arranged for all minors
Parade Organizer has the right to bar any entrants from the parade who do not conform to rules and regulations, not keeping pace, or refusing to follow instructions of police or parade officials
Alcoholic beverages are forbidden on any float or vehicle. Participants consuming alcohol prior to the parade will be removed from the line-up and barred from future parades.
Drop off in Smithfield Plaza between 5:30 – 6:00 pm in Smithfield Plaza. Please be on time.
Participant drop-off is in Smithfield Plaza. You will enter Smithfield Plaza at the junction of Monterey Road at SE Ocean Boulevard. Follow the signs and volunteer directions for safe drop-off. Monterey Road will be used for float line-up, so please note the 3 western-most lanes will be closed between Kingswood Terrace and SE Ocean Boulevard.
Marchers and Walkers will line up in Smithfield Plaza. Parade numbers will be assigned and walkers/marchers will be instructed by the parade line-up director and volunteers on when to merge into the parade.
Large groups of walkers with vehicles lining up on Monterey Road will be encouraged to stay in Smithfield Plaza.
You must have a representative from your group available at the drop-off location so those in your charge do not get lost. An Information and Line-up Number table will be set-up at Smithfield Plaza for any questions.
There is NO PARKING in Smithfield Plaza. The Plaza is for drop off only. If your children need a walking escort, the driver will need to have a separate escort who will exit the car and stay with the children.
Band Buses and equipment trucks MUST FOLLOW THE DROP OFF TIME RULES.
Drop off is between 5:30 and 6:00 PM in Smithfield Plaza.
Buses will be directed BEHIND SMITHFIELD PLAZA and drop off will occur in the opening around the final corner past Cleveland Clinic loading docks. Our volunteers will direct the Bus Drivers to this lane and will assist with drop-off.
Bus Drivers will then leave Smithfield straight ahead and exit to SE Ocean Boulevard, making a right and driving to Georgia Ave , where they will turn left onto Georgia and make the first left into the parking area designated for school buses.

Float/Vehicle Line-up 4:30 – 6:30pm
Line-up is on Monterey Road beginning at Kingswood Terrace. Floats and large vehicles will be directed to the western-most lane, cars will be guided to their spot in the turning lane. Only vehicles heading northeast on Monterey Road will be allowed to enter line-up. There will be absolutely no U-turns on Monterey Road
Line-up volunteers will assign you a line-up number and disband lane once parked.
We will ensure any Walkers/Marchers that need to follow your vehicle merge with you from Smithfield Plaza.
Participants with more than 1 vehicle must arrive together or be separated in the parade.
Maximum float size is 40’ long and 10’ in height from the ground up.
Floats towing children MUST have railings and an adult on the float. Children must be securely placed.
Floats with children must be in the westernmost lane, next to the buildings. INSTRUCT ALL THAT THE LANES ARE OPEN- DANGEROUS.
DO NOT CROSS THE BARRICADES
Judging is conducted at the Grandstand area during the Parade.
Entry number must be on the front left corner of your vehicle.
The float Awards and Marching Band Awards are judged as outlined in the parade application. You can vote for The People’s Choice Float AND Non-Float Awards on the Stuart Christmas Parade Facebook page during and after the parade. Awards will be announced on the Stuart Christmas Parade Facebook page and Website the day after the parade. Awards will be available for pick-up at the Visiting Nurse Association of Florida beginning Monday following the parade from 8 AM - 5 PM.
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF DISBAND VOLUNTEERS!
Disband is on Georgia Avenue, exiting via Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
There is NO PARKING anywhere on Georgia Ave. No non-parade vehicles will be permitted to enter the parking lots! Drivers picking up participants must park on Stypmann Blvd, off Flagler (behind the courthouse) or elsewhere.

Participants who disembark their float or group will not be able to walk north on Georgia to get back to Ocean Avenue. All pedestrian traffic will be detoured onto sidewalk next to the tennis courts and the sidewalk through Memorial Park to return to the parade. Georgia will be fenced off.
